The directions are simple but DO follow them. Only one of the "sensors" was drier than the others but was still effective. The other two work wonderfully. They kept my plants going for a week and a half, and my plants like a lot of water each day. With the use of a large water reservoir (not above the dirt level and not too far below), they had plenty of water. This was exactly what I was looking for.
