I am very pleased with this product. I had never heard of Alvin, so I didn't know what to expect. I previously had an Olfa mat that was smaller. This mat is thick and heavy and fits perfectly on my kitchen table. Also, it doesn't have an unpleasant smell like some of the other cutting mats out there. The mat is small enough so it doesn't take up too much room but large enough that it can handle most clothing and medium-sized home decorating projects.
