We purchased this product after being plagued by a persistent woodpecker who was drilling holes in the trim of our house -- $900 worth of damage on one side! When the woodpecker started on the other untouched side, it was time to draw the line. Since they are a protected species, we tried a stationery plastic owl to deter him but he got wise to that after a week or so. We've had the Prowler Owl about a month now and so far, so good. What's good about it is the "wings" move with the breeze so the "owl" isn't stationery plus we have him mounted on a hollow pole so it also turns with the wind. So far, the woodpecker hasn't been around -- at least not when we're home, but we haven't noticed any "new" drilling either.Get more detail about Bird-X OWL Prowler Owl with Moving Wings.
