That 25 minutes is either in full speed mode or when throttling at a lower speed. The long charge time makes it so a person must have the mindset to do the 25 minutes of weed whacking and then find something else to do until the battery is recharged. This machine will cut anything that a gasoline engine driven weed eater will cut. I was very impressed with that and the fact that just a little bump will give you more string. My "new in box" PP4620AVX saw lasted only 5 hours -- I then found out by calling Poulan with the serial number that it was a new factory reconditioned unit.

What happened is that I lost cylinder compression (zero compression) after 5 hours of use. Yes, I was using the correct oil/gas mix. The rings are not scored, the cylinder walls are worn!

BUYER BEWARE about Poulan's warranty!
- NEW saws have the 2 year warranty
- FACTORY RECONDITION saws have a 30 day warranty
- Both warranties require a sales receipt to measure days of ownership
- If you don't have a sales receipt, days of ownership is measured based of date of manufacture that is encoded/encrypted into the serial number (as in the 183rd day of 2007)

While I really like the features and comfort of the 4620AVX... I have to advise anyone considering this saw to stay away from it due to its poor cylinder construction and the resulting marketing deception that factory recondition saws are new saws.

Poulan might argue that they don't decieve nor misrepresent in their marketing, but it's Poulan's management that decides to flood online retailers with "factory recondition saws".

Ask yourself, why are there so many "factory recondition" saws in the first place?

It has been pretty effective with the carpenter bees. At first I thought they were completely gone but I have seen ONE since plugging in the Pest-A-Repel. Considering that before, I couldn't even sit peacefully in a chair without the bees buzzing around my head, this is definitely an improvement.

There is also an improvement in the spider webs, which normally when I open the back door at night I would get one in the face if I didn't wave my hands around like a lunatic. So far no spider webs, at least not near the door or area where I sit.

This one had received good reviews and it seemed an appropriate power for my use, but I still had a little trepidation over its ability. Well, I got over them quickly. This thing works! It's even kinda fun. I find myself looking for things to clean with it.

Depending on the surface being cleaned, the washing may take several minutes of blasting or it may be instantaneous. The vinyl siding took longer than I expected, and I experienced a lot of splashing in the face before I learned not to point the wand up and perpendicular to the wall, but it eventually restored the original color. Concrete, brick, and asphalt surfaces gave up their grime easily. I had forgotten what my patio looked like when it was new.

I have used the washer three times for about eight hours total, so I can't rate the long-term reliability. Perhaps I'll amend this review next year.

Others have mentioned the recessed hose connection on the body of the washer, and I agree that it would be a real pain to use. I strongly recommend a quick-connect.
